Team based in South Bend, IN, near MI border, with mostly IN & MI players, but also has hard-working players from other states.  Cruisers will be managed again by Pete Gillis, and coached by Mike Amodei and Meagan Ruthrauff assisting.  Team attends many exposure tournaments.  This year for Fall we will again go to Homer Hawks (Chicago), Rising Stars (FL), Orland Park Pumpkin Fest (Chicago), and OC Batbusters Surf City (CA); and for next summer planning these exposures again --Compuware (Detroit), Boulder Independence Day (Colorado), Orland Park Sparks (Chicago), and to include Gold Sector and Regional Qualifiers.  Last year and this year all outgoing seniors received commitments.  Looking mainly for 2013 through 2010 players in a variety of positions for this year, but will consider others ages as well.  To register for try-outs, please email in advance to GillisLawOffice@aol.com.  Please also review and complete the registration form below.

All those trying out are expected to be prompt. Arrive before 12:00. Sign in at the Registration Table. If you have already completed the Registration Form, bring it along, unless you already e-mailed or faxed it to us, and it is our preference that we have received it in advance. There will be blank Registration Forms available if you have not yet completed the form. Please also bring your medical consent signed by your parent(s) if they are not attending with you, this is available below under "handouts".

There are a few who have notified us of being unable to attend, either due to other prior commitments, or due to distance in traveling, and we have stated we will try to accomodate this as long as we know this. Those who have called with this difficulty have been told that they may have private tryouts, or may be expected to stay longer or come early to incorporate additional drills and evaluations.

We will start with introductions of the staff and expectations of our players and this team. You will then warm-up, and rotate with your assigned group through the manager and coaches, and any others assisting with drills, for evaluation.   Drills will focus on both defense and hitting.

In the event of rain, unless it is lightening, we will still be having try-outs outdoors, but reserve the right to extend the ending time if we need to adjust the schedule due to rain.

Bring your own mit, catcher's gear if you use your own, your own helmet if you use your own, and your own bat(s) if you prefer your own. Bring your own refreshments. There will not be an open concession stand.
