P.O. Michael J. Buczek Little League Honored At 2016 Little League World Series
About 25 Police Officer Michael J. Buczek Little Leaguers, parents, Coach Johnny Moynihan and Mary jo Buczek boarded a bus in Washington Heights eaarly on Saturday, August 20. Why? They represented our league at the Little League International World Series in Williamsport, PA and accepted the prestigious 2016 Carl E. Stotz Community Award. It was an amazing trip and great honor for everyone!

Buczek Little League Wins Prestigious Carl E. Stotz Little League Int'l Community Award

We are honored and humbled that out of of 7,500 Little Leagues across the WORLD, OUR league has won the the Carl E. Stotz Little League International Community Award! We proudly share this honor with the wonderful children and parents of Washington Heights, our amazing volunteer coaches and generous sponsors, our friends and family, the NYPD 34th Police Precinct., and the NYPD. We are certain that Police Officer Michael J. Buczek, and Mr. B.are proudly smiling today! (Story and video in link.)

Police Officer Michael J. Buczek Little League was invited by Little League Baseball and ESPN to Yankee Stadium for the third game of the Yankees & Mets Subway Series. Coach Johnny and the children were filmed in the dugout for the pre-game show, too and explained how, in the Police Officer Michael J. Buczek Little League, each team honors a fallen member of the NYPD.

CBS2 2's Tracee Carrasco and her great cameraman Patrick joined us for the day at the Police Officer Michael J. Buczek Little League Opening Day Parade & Celebration. It was a great day!

Tracee took a ball to her mic hand on the field and though she says her little league career is in the balance, we're very happy to hear she is on the mend! Thank you Tracee, Patrick and CBS2! You rock!
