Saturday, October 4, 2008 - Blessed with stunning weather the 8u-14u Metropolitan Wolverines eagerly made the hour long trek to the Fredericksburg, Virginia to face the Scorpions. Simultaneously, our littlest warriors, the 6 and under squad, prepared to meet the PG Chargers in Largo, MD. The Metropolitan Wolverines family, friends, and fans refused, once again, to let a logistical challenge deter them. Determined to show their support for each and every squad, the Wolverines faithful showed up in droves at every game.
Happily our 6u - 12u squads were each victorious. Sadly, our 14u squad lost their first game of the season in a hard fought and emotional battle against the Scorpions 14u. Keep your heads up Wolverines; we'll see the Scorpions again.
