The Metro Bowl was founded in 2005 in 2007 it became a national recognized bowl by the USFA.
- The Metro Bowl is a double elimination tournament. Once a team looses they automatically go into the Metro bowl 2 tournament. When the Metrobowl 2 Tourney is inactive the Metrobowl is a single elimination tourney
- The Metro Bowl is invite only tournament, All teams must have made playoffs in their respective league's
- The Metrobowl officialy starts in November
- Players can not participate on another team after their team has been eliminated.
- Metrobowl Roster rules. In order to preserve the integrity of the Metrobowl and to prevent "Loading up" and/or creating an "All Star Team" only 6 new or additional players will be allowed on each participating team.
- Metro Bowl tournament directors assign officials but home fields must be secured and both teams notified no later then 8pm the Tuesday before the game
- The defending tournament champion will receive home field advantage throughout the tournament if the previous years champion is eliminated the defending leagues still gets to host the championship game. This rule only applies to the Metro Bowl 1 championship.
- Championship game must be held at a field with Lights, Locker Rooms, working scoreboard and press box. If host can not provide a the venue that's satisfactory to the tournament director the away team will receive the home game. If neither team can secure a venue a neutral site will be selected
- For the championship game the visiting team will receive transportation funding dependent on distance of travel
- Games can be played on Saturday's or Sunday's with a start time no earlier or later then 1 - 8pm on Saturday's and 1 - 3pm on Sunday's
- Match-ups are solely determined by the Tournament Director but if a request is made by two teams it will be taken into consideration and usually approved
- Normal NFL rules apply during on field game play
- As always champions of the bowls will receive Gold Ball, T-shirts and Hats.
- The winner of the tournament has the option of accepting a bid into the USFL bowl series in Florida. If the champion declines invite runner-up can attend in their place.
