Professional Coaches: We are very proud of our MSC coaches who are dedicated and loyal athletes having over 80 years combined professional experience. As seasoned and successful skaters in their own right, they have the breadth of knowledge to take skaters from Learn to Skate to Advanced and Gold levels. Our coaches work hard to provide skaters of all ages and stages with a fun, safe and high quality skating experience.

Amanda Cooper
| Amanda has been the head coach of the Metcalfe Skating Club for the past 3 years. She has been coaching for 10 years and is certified as a Level 1 coach. Amanda is currently working on her level 2 certification. Her outlook on skating is to have fun and be the best you can be, work hard you will be successful. Amanda has completed gold free skate, gold artistic and gold dances along with novice competitive free skate, and a portion on diamond dance. Off ice, Amanda worked as a volunteer fire fighter, but now concentrates on raising her beautiful daughter. |

Brandi Young
| Brandi has been coaching for 12years, is a fully certified Level II Singles and Dance coach and has completed her Level III General Subjects and Singles courses. She has been a Metcalfe Skating Club member for 22 years. She has also provided Mentoring for Level I Coaches. As a skater, Brandi completed her Gold Freeskate, Gold Interpretive and Diamond Dances. She has taught skaters from CanSkate to Senior Silver Level in Freestyle, Preliminary to Diamond level in dance and Preliminary to Senior Silver in Skills. She has attended seminars by Brian Orser, Jan Ullmark, Frank Carroll, and Eric Therrien and looks forward to attending many more seminars in the future. Outside skating, Brandi works as a sales associate at a financial planning firm. |

Karen Berrigan
| Karen has been coaching for over 20 years throughout the Ottawa area and is a fully certified Level 1 coach with partial completion of Level 2. She has been an instructor for a variety of skating programs, from preschool programs to Canskate and Starskate as well as Adult programs. Karen was a member of the Nepean Figure Skating Club for over 15 years both as a skater and a coach and has recently relocated to the Metcalfe area. Off-ice Karen works for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation as a Team Leader for Travel and Facilities Services and enjoys keeping busy with her two children. |

Lori Walker
| Lori has been coaching for 10 years, the past 4 at various clubs in the Ottawa area and prior to that in the Sudbury area. She is fully level 1 certified with level 2 theory completed. She has been skating for 23 years now and has completed her Gold dances, Gold skills and Junior Silver free skate and is currently working on her Diamond Dances and Interpretive. She is also currently skating for a synchronized skating team here in Ottawa (team was National Champs 2008-2009 season). She has taught skaters of many ages and levels from Canskate to Starskate (Preliminary to Junior Silver levels) and also adult programs. Off-ice Lori works as Accounts Receivable Coordinator in the private sector. |
