Mendon Youth Baseball: Summer & Travel Teams
The following programs are available to those interested in playing baseball after the spring in-town season:
1) Summer Baseball Leagues.
Mendon Junior Baseball has worked with neighboring towns such as Upton, Blackstone, and Hopedale to coordinate summer baseball for kids in the 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 age groups. New players to the program are welcome to participate (there is no requirement that they played in the spring.) For more information on Summer League Baseball please contact Mike Hilton, Summer Baseball Coordinator.
2) Travel/All Star Teams.
Mendon Junior Baseball selects players from the Spring Season to play on tournament Travel/All Star Teams. The attached Travel Team Guidelines have been established to communicate the Mendon Junior Baseball Travel Team philosophy, flayer eligibility, selection process and coaching guidelines.
Currently, 4 MJB travel teams participate in the Hopkinton Summer Sizzler (two 9-10 teams and two 11-12 teams). Travel teams require a significant time committment to games and practices through June and July. Teams play or practice several times per week.
Questions related to travel teams may be directed to Glenn Cochran, MJB Summer Sizzler Coordinator.
