Phillies Win Opener against Tigers
The new look Phillies defeated the Tigers today, 12-6, in Sudbury at Feeley Field. Tom Dicker pitched well, earning his 1st win of the season. He helped himself out by going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Many Phillies had multiple hits such as Jay Skowronski (3 for 3 on the day with 3 runs scored), Jason Morrisey (2 for 3 with 2 runs scored), Teddy Coyle (2 for 3 with 4 RBI's), John Costanino (2 for 3 with 3 RBI's) and Gerry Diluzio (2 for 3). All 15 players contributed today and the team shows much promise this season. The Phils are now 1-0 on the season and will host the 1-0 Hudson Cardinals next week in Medway.
