Medford's Joe Sacco Named Head Coach of the NHL Colorado Avalanche !!
DENVER, COLORADO -- Former Medford Youth Hockey, Medford High School and Boston University hockey player Joe Sacco was named the "Head Coach" of the Colorado Avalanche for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
As you all know, Joe Sacco along with Keith Tkachuk, brother Dave Sacco, Shawn Bates and Mike Morrison have taken their hockey careers from playing Medford Youth Hockey at the LoConte Rink to the National Hockey League.
After a 14-year NHL career. Joe entered the coaching ranks in the AHL first in Lowell for the Lock Monsters and the past two seasons in Lake Erie, all Colorado Avalanche affiliate teams.
Always taking "Mustand Hockey Pride" wherever he played or coached, we take the same pride in him being the pride of Medford Youth Hockey. Our congratulations and best wishes.
2009-10 Travel Team Coaches and Travel Teams Selected - We're Growing - (New Teams Added) !!
The newly elected 2009-10 Medford Youth Hockey Board of Directors have been meeting throughout the Spring to interview and select travel team coaches for the upcoming season.
