Concession Stand Guidelines & Requirements for Spring 2015 Season
The MNLL Concession Stand is operated solely by volunteers. Revenue generated from the concession stand assists in keeping registration fees down. Please support the league by purchasing items while at practices and games!
  • Each player is required to provide (1) 16 or older volunteer to work (1) approx. 3hr shift for the Spring 2015 Season. Players on scholarship will be required to fulfill (2-3) approx. 3hr shifts. (Exceptions to this requirement are for players that provide (1) parent/guardian in another key volunteer position for the 2015 Spring Season: MNLL Board Member, Team Manager, Team Parent or Concession Supervisor.) If you have questions about your exception waiver, please contact the Concession Manager.
  • Volunteers are required to sign up for their shift(s) online through Volunteer Spot. The deadline to schedule is 3/22/15 for Majors/Minors and 4/12/15 for Rookies/Tball. Failure to schedule your shift by these dates will result in a shift being assigned to you by the Concession Manager.
  • You can volunteer as many times as you like!!! Consider signing up for more than your required amount - or become a Concession Supervisor (see details below).
  • You will be contacted via email or phone at least 48 hours before your scheduled shift as a courtesy reminder. We recommend though that you place the shift on your personal calendar.
  • We understand that emergencies happen, please attempt to cover your own shift. If you are unable to do so, please contact the Concession Manager as soon as possible, hopefully prior to your scheduled shift so that we may attempt to help you cover it. You will be assigned a new shift!
  • The Concession Stand requires a minimum of 3-4 adult volunteers for each shift.
  • Children under 16 will not be permitted in the stand to work or hangout.*
  • Due to health card rules, there will be no food/drink consumed in the stand during your scheduled shift. You will be permitted to use the side storage room.
  • We ask that cell phone usage be kept to a minimum. Remember, you are there to work.
  • Weeknight shifts typically run from 5:00-8:00pm. Saturday shifts are broken up into 2 or 3 3 hr shifts, hours can vary depending on schedule.
  • All questions regarding shifts should be directed to the Concession Supervisor on the shift or Concession Manager. Their names and numbers are listed on the information wall inside the stand and online below.

Enjoy working in the Concession Stand?
Become a Concession Supervisor - the league needs you!!!

What does the Concession Supervisor do?
The Concession Supervisor opens the stand, trains volunteers, counts money for deposits at end of shift, closes the stand and generally ensures that the stand runs smoothly for the shift.

How much time committment is this position?
The idea is to have 1 supervisor per shift working in the stand. That would mean that you would work 1-2 shifts per week or every other week. Wealso  have some items in the stand this season that will require a few hours of prep each week on a Sunday/Monday. You will likely be scheduled for at least one of these for the season. Example: Making cotton candy and bagging it for the week.

To volunteer for a Concession Supervisor position, you must complete the volunteer form. This form can be found in the handout section or at document collection days.
