Welcome to Maximum Velocity Fastpitch. This site is dedicated to the instruction of young softball pitchers through the Western New York area. We have been established formally for the last 8 years but have worked with pitching over the past 26 years at high school and collegiate levels. We have a large number of girls who have gone on to the collegiate level to pitch.

Our basic philosophy is that any girl can learn to pitch and pitch well. We do not filter our students based upon ability level. We work with all girls who have the desire to get better. There are many different levels which the girls want to pitch at, some want to be good high school pitchers others want to go to a higher leve. Whatever level you wish, we will help you move in that direction.

There are a number of simple adjustments which can be made for students based upon the type of pitch they are throwing. We often find that girls will grasp the entire pitching process but may have one or two bad habits which cause may cause them difficulty on the success of the pitch. The key to overcoming these habits is to teach students to identify the bad habit and work on the habit over and over in order to break the old habit and instill a new one. Once a student begins to feel the change in the habit they will move ahead. The key to it is getting students to "feel" the change.
