Monday, April 21

Welcome to the Massabesic Filly Lacrosse League website.  Registration for the 2014 season is now closed.

The league will be meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting on April 28, 2014 thru May 21, 2014.

All sessions will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and will be held at the Massabesic High School Sports Complex.  The sessions will consist of an hour of skills followed by an hour of games, with the exception of the first evening.  At the first session we will be announcing team placement, as well as handing out team jerseys and leaque picture information.

Parents, please make sure that at each session your player is ready to go, and has brought all required equipment necessary to play, especially the stick, safety goggles and mouthguard (THE STICK, SAFETY GOGGLES AND MOUTHGUARD ARE MANDATORY).  If a player has forgotten their stick, safety goggles and/or mouthguard, they will not be allowed to participate in that session.  Each player should also bring a drink to stay hydrated and be wearing their team jersey.  If the weather is cold, please make sure the team jersey is the outer layer being worn.

As in past years, the league is in need of parent volunteers to help with each team.  Although some parents have stepped forward, we currently only have a team parent for  half of the teams.   Team parents are not expected to be knowledgable of the game of lacrosse, however it is a great opportunity to learn about the game and the skills required.  Team parents are there to support and encourage each player on their assigned team.  All skill stations and games are run by the Massabesic High School Lacrosse players, with the guidance of Brooks Bowen, the head coach of the girls programs for both the High School and Middle School, Greg Kidder and myself, Denise Benton.  Brooks started the youth program 7 years ago and Greg and myself have been helping with the league for the last 6 years.

As always, if you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.  I can be reached at or 793-3424 or 467-5797.
