I’m sponsoring this league so that local kids get the exposure they need.
Teams don’t pay to play in this league.
All games will be at a central location in Philadelphia-Sunoco Field, which is just minutes from Citizens Bank Park.
I’ve experienced every level of baseball. I’ve been an All City Player, a College All Star, an Olympian, a first round Major League draft pick, a Major League Player, TV and radio baseball analyst and commentator. I do TV postgame for the Phillies and have a daily MLB sponsored show on radio and internet TV.
I know baseball talent when I see it, and I know there’s plenty of under-exposed talent in this area.
So, in an effort to give our local kids a fair shot, I’ve started the Marzano Scout League.
Hopefully, this will be a place where professional scouts, college coaches, parents, players and just spectators will come to spend a few weekends and summer nights watching, evaluating and just enjoying baseball.
