Mission Statement: The Maryland Lady Comets Program is a spiritually based girls youth basketball program, that teaches the fundamentals and disciplines of basketball. We stress the importance of academics and are a life skills teaching, family oriented and fun program that stands by PROVERBS 22:6. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

11 & under (Girls born Jan.1st, 1998 or later); 14 & under (Girls born Jan.1st, 1995 or later) & 16 & under (Girls born Jan.1st, 1993 or later).

TRYOUT Dates for Maryland Lady Comets 11u (girls born Jan.1st, 1998 or later) will be Saturday, Feb.6th & Sunday, Feb.7th, 2010.
Tryouts for our newly formed 11 & under girls team will be held on Saturday, February 6th at the Randallstown Community Center located at 3505 Resource Drive - Randallstown, Maryland 21133 (at the intersection of Liberty Road & Brenbrook) from 12pm to 2pm and Sunday, February 7th at Windsor Mill Middle School located at 8300 Windsor Mill Road - Baltimore, Maryland 21244 from 2pm to 4pm. The MLC Family would like to welcome Coach Dominique Damico & Coach Aisha Mason into the Family. They will we be coaching our newly formed MLC 98 (11U) team starting this spring. The program is very excited about these two young Ladies joining the organization. Both young Ladies have some college basketball playing experience and are college graduates.

The MLC 13U are off to a great start (in the Team Sol 2009 FA League) with an impressive win at the Capitol Sports Plex in Upper Malboro, MD Saturday 9/19/09.

Lady Comets 14u are showcasing there talents in the Team Sol Fall League on Saturdays in Upper Marlboro.
The young guns are are now playing at the Capital Sports Plex down in Upper Marlboro in there Saturday League. Playing down at that league will be very helpful to our young ladies, because it's always been a very competitive league. GO COMETS!!!!

13u fall to Cape Coast Lady Titans in a nail bitter by 6. Final score was 61 to 55.
Lady Comets 13u will open up tomorrow morning in the Classic Bracket Play against a familiar foe. They play the Baltimore Storm at 10:30am.

Lady Comets 13 & under girls invade the AAU 2009 D-II National Championships in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Lady Comets 13u girls are 1-1 in Pool Play. Yesterday they defeated the South Jersey Blitz 62 to 47 after being down by 7 at halftime. Alexus Harrison & MiQueara Lewis lead the way with 21 & 16 respectfully. This morning they were defeated by the Georgia Pearls 42 to 2. At 3pm today they take on Florida's own Cape Coast Lady Titans for an opportunity to secure a spot in the Championship Bracket Play. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
