6^TH ANNUAL WINTER SKILLS CLINIC 

It’s time to dust off those gloves and get ready for an exciting 2012 season!

The Mars Baseball Association will be conducting its 6^th Annual Winter Skills Clinic on Saturday mornings beginning February 4, 2012 at the Lakevue Athletic Club.  The Winter Skills Clinic is geared for the younger kids, ages 5 to 8 to teach fundamental baseball skills and drills including fielding and hitting.  The Winter Skills Clinic will be conducted by the Mars Baseball Varsity coaches and players.   

WHEN:  Saturdays February 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3

TIME:  10:30 am to 12:00 pm

COST:  $75 (Payment accepted at the door prior to the first session)

INDOOR TRAINING FACILITY 

Mars Baseball Association is excited to announce that we have obtained access to the Lakevue Athletic Club for use as an indoor train facility for members of the Mars Baseball Association.  Lakevue will be available for use by the Mars Baseball Association seven days a week.  Through the procurement of this facility, we will be able to offer increased training opportunities to all Mars Baseball Association players through training clinics, Preseason Training for all age levels, Winter Skills Clinics for ages 5-8 and indoor practices for the spring season.

During the month of April, each team will be guaranteed one ninety (90) minute practice a week.  To cover the cost of the facility for these practices, the registration fees will be increased by $20 per player for the 2012 spring season.  In return for the $20 fee, each player will receive raffle tickets which they can either keep for themselves or sell to offset some of their registration fee.   Additional information will be provided with registration. 

We also have open times during which the facility will be open to any member of the organization for personal use for their own batting, fielding or pitching practice.  For a nominal fee of $10 per family, you will be welcome to use the facility during designated times.   For the month of December, Lakevue Open Sessions will be held on Monday December 5, Monday, December 12 and Monday, December 19 from 6pm to 9pm.  To register for an open session, please email Stacey Palmer at cruisepalmer@hotmail.com.   Additionally, the batting cages can be reserved in advance for a 20 minute period by contacting Stacey Palmer.  If the batting cage is not reserved in advance, it will be available on first come, first served basis. We will announce additional open times in the near future.
