We are proud to be represented by so many kids from thoughout Livingston Parish and the surrounding areas. We have players from every school in our parish on our teams. It is a testament to our program and Coach Mike's years of hard work and dedication to have 12 boys and girls teams and so many returning players and parents. We are honored to be thought of as one of the many great programs within our parish! We also want to say thank you to all the other programs in our parish that are out there helping kids and continuing to further basketball in Livingston Parish!
The Mardi Gras Gators basketball program is based on the involvement in athletics as a medium to address some of the many problems which face our youth today, specifically, problems with substance abuse, early withdrawal from school and child hood diabetes. Participating in athletics is one way of helping youth to stay in school, get physically active, stay healthy and build self esteem and a good positive attitude about themselves and others. Our motto is: Keep them off the streets and on the court! Mardi Gras Gators is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We give children from all walks of life the chance to play ball, regardless of their economic or social situation.
