Manual Field Hockey: Frosh Game Summaries
Week of 9/14/09 vs. Collegiate & SHA
This has been a busy week for the freshman and it started out good but did not end on a good note. I must say the girls played hard all week and it has been a good learning experience, with disappointment and a few hard lessons. Working concessions for both home games this week I do not have a lot of information, but will share what I have.
Our first game was at home Monday against Collegiate. Craig was not there to take stats and so the best I can report is that we won, 1 to 0. Emma Smith I believe scored the goal. Unfortunately our player Alicia Beebe was struck in the face with a ball but was not serious, she is doing fine. Moving on to the next game was against Ballard we tied the game 1 to 1. The goal was scored by one of our defense players Emily Divino with 10 seconds left in the game.
Our final game of the week was an away game at SHA, it was a discouraging day for our players but hopefully it will make our players stronger and encourage them to work even harder. One of our parents, Julie Hardesty had a nice stop on the sideline, good job Julie.
