Manteca Chargers Youth Football & Cheerleading: The 3 D's

We believe in our youth. We believe in their ability to conquer their fears, grow, change, develop, and to be great. We are committed to helping our youth in developing integrity, discipline, morals, and values. Our organization is dedicated to making sure that every child who is part of our team has the opportunity to participate in their selected field. Whether in football or cheer, we believe that every child should have the oppourtunity to grow and develop their skills. We stand strong in our commitment to have all youth participate no matter what their level of experience or training. Your child will learn not only the skills of football or cheer, but will also learn very important values that they can carry with them in school, family and life. Things like respect, self worth, discipline, morals, trust, leadership, and the importance of education and family values. Your children will learn to be competitive but will also learn it is okay not to win all the time.

We are proud to teach the three "D's", DESIRE, DEDICATION, & DISCIPLINE. If your child had the desire to play, with the dedication it takes to perform, and the discipline to tough it out into victory, they will be playing. We will be expecting a lot from our youth and our parents. We in turn would want you to expect a lot in return from us. With all of us working together we can produce a winning team of youth, both on and off the field.

DESIRE - This is defined in the dicitonary as: To wish or long for; want. To strongly want something. We emcompass the same desires when it comes to our football & cheer organizations. We instill in our youth, the desire to play or cheer. Without the desire there can be no dedication or discipline. Our children must want to be there, they must want to participate, and they must want to put forth the effort to become champions. They must want to give 100% of themselves every practice and every game.

DEDICATION - This is defined in the dictionary as: Selfless devotion; the act of binding yourself (intellectually or emotionally) to a course of action. This type of dedication is hard to find. Our youth must be devoted to our organization, their fellow players, their families, and themselves. Only then will we as a TEAM be able to teach and guide them. In order to have a successful season our youth must commit themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally. If they do this, win or lose, they will become leaders.

DISCIPLINE - This is defined in the dictionary as: Training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior, especially training that produces moral or mental improvement. A set of rules or methods, as those regulating practice. We will train them hard. We will push them to the limits of their capabilities. We will even menatlly and emotionally challenge our youth. We will help them grow as individuals and as a team, but only they can determine how disciplined they are going to be. With all of these expectations we assure you that you can expect the same from us.

As a board, staff member, coach and organization, we are here for your children and you. It takes parents, youths, and the organization to make the complete team. This site is set up to be an informative way to communciate between parents, coaches, and players. It will be updated as often as possible, so keep checking back for current information.
