Tuesday, February 24 MWLL NEEDS THE SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY Dear Local Merchant, Malden West Little League is looking for sponsors for the upcoming 2009 baseball season. MWLL is dedicated to building character, courage and loyalty in local area youth by providing a fun, safe, and competitive baseball program. To be successful, MWLL requires a tremendous amount of support by the local community. Your donation helps offset the costs of equipment, player insurance, uniforms and operational expenses, and will help supplement player registration fees. A lot has happened in the past few years to the Little League program in Malden. Declining registration numbers over the last few years have meant a reduction in local Little Leagues and teams competing in baseball, but the Malden West Little League Board of Directors is committed to changing this trend. For this we need the help of local businesses. Our first priority is to keep baseball affordable for all the youth in our city, while making sure that our children have a safe and fun baseball experience. In past years, our League used its resources to upgrade the fences at Forestdale Park and to build a new concession stand at Bruce Field. We are committed to making sure that the environment that our players and fans use is a safe one. In addition, the Board of Directors is also committed to providing the proper training of our volunteer managers and coaches. To accomplish this, the Malden West Little League allocates resources for them to attend official Little League certification programs. This is in addition to the cost of supporting the basic operation of our league, which includes equipment, uniforms, insurance and umpire fees to name a few. Unfortunately, registration fees do not cover these costs. We need the financial help of sponsors in our community. Rest assured that every sponsorship dollar contributed goes directly to supporting these efforts. We sincerely hope that you can support our efforts this year. We offer several levels of sponsorship. One of the goals of the Board this season is to ensure that your sponsorship participation will be noticed by the families and friends of our players. Based upon your level of sponsorship, your support of Malden West Little League baseball will be displayed through website listings, banquet booklet listings, team plaques, field banners and/or your business name being displayed on the hats of our players.
