MainLand ALL-STARS: My Site News
Wednesday, May 13Coach Kratochvil named Head Coach for "International" team!
Coach Kratochvil has recently been appoined by Dick Suess as the Head Coach for the International All Star Football team this January, 2010 in Homestead, Fla. Players looking for game info my contact Coach Kratochvil.
Wednesday, March 4
Planning ahead
With the Pro Bowl game being moved off of Oahu, it may not all be bad.
I have been in contact with a few players and some of the "MainLand ALL STARS" Board of Directors in a brain storming search regarding having a game again in Hawaii.
The possibility to play other Hawaiian teams (not just on the Island of Oahu) is a definite opportunity. There are two teams who have already expressed an interest. It may be possible that with the lack of a Pro Bowl game that some of the glitter be absorbed by our game.
We have already spoken with authority figures who may have 2 sites that could become yet another playing venue for this game.
With the lack of a draw for pro football, our Semi Pro ALL STAR game can (when organized correctly with time) be a replacement for that game.
If you'd like to submit any suggestions, or ideas or comments please do so by email to Coach Kratochvil.
If you are interested in helping develop this game please indicate that in your contact and provide an area of expertise you could help fulfill.
The 2010 game will not be played/scheduled on the same week as Pro Bowl. Tentatively it may be the last week of February, 2010.
The options and potential to help players with travel, expenses, housing or hotel fees is ALREADY being examined and worked on.
Keep checking this site for more developing plans for the 2010 game.

Meaning of the game! This Game.
Over the past couple of weeks I have spoken with and received emails from many of you -- the players. All Positive! One of the things that each of you have expressed is how much this game meant to each of you and your families. I can't agree more.
I have coached a lot of football and a lot of games but for some reason this game really had an impact on myself, my family, my boys and all the players and staff.
It truly was a pleasure. It was great getting back in touch with those of you from the past and a true honor to make new friends, players and staff connections!
Stay in touch and best wishes to each of you and your families.
Again, thanks to all of you who made the trip, played and helped US bring home the "W!"
I am currently awaiting the filmier (I used Father Johns man as you know my filmier and brother of a player who was one of our no shows) to get me the game CD so I can get that to you or at least the info on how to get copies.
Again, MAHALO!

Coach K, it was an honor and pleasure to play and be a part of the Mainland Allstar team. With that being said and the opportunity given if you have other opportunities in place for football or if you know of any I would like to use your resources, assistance, and guidance in to helping me to further my career in football, as you can tell I have a deep passion and love for this game and would like to have an opportunity to play for a professional team in any league. #9 Jamar Boone, Rochester, Giants 2/14/09
Coach K, 2/11/09
Dear Coack K and all the members of the Mainland All Stars,
It was indeed an honor and a privilege to have met and played with you all. From the coaches, the players, family members, and I can't possibly forget to leave out the wonderful training staff. You are all great and I have realized how fortunate I have been over my years of playing football how instrumental it is to be around real genuine people that have the same thing in mind. Family! If for any reason the Lord himself doesn't permit me to see another day in this life, I can rest my hat on the fact that I have definitely made some of the best acquaintances that anyone ever could. Congratulations on the teams victory. I wish I could have come to see the game. I just had back surgery on Dec. 8 so I couldn't make the trip. I saw some pictures that someone form the team sent out and I see Ralphie is growing up to be a fine young man. He looks like he could have played in the game. I'm still here in Florida and I have 1 more year in the Air Force (thank God I'm almost done) and I'm still coaching youth football here. I was also asked to coach the freshman football team here at Navarre High School last season, I had a blast and I was asked to come back next season. My oldest son Dwayne (think him and Ralphie are close to the same age) made the Varsity football team as a freshman this year and I'm proud of him for that,he's a running back just like his old man except he's smaller and much faster :-) How is the family doing? Did you get a chance to see Mo and KB while you were in Hawaii? I really miss coming to play in those games, but I am grateful for the times I did play. Thanks for keeping me on your e-mail list it is always a joy to see your enthusiasm and commitment to the great sport of football and I hope to one day impact as many lives in a positive way as you have done already. If you have any words of wisdom or mentorship please feel free to share them with me because I respect you and your passion for the game.

It has been a pleasure and a privelege for Bob and I to have coached/played in the match, alongside so many talented and accomplished coaches and players. For me personally, I will never forget the wonderful time that I have had and the many friends I have made. I have never been made to feel so welcome in a team. In particular my heartfelt thanks go to you for putting together such a well-organised event. There is so much work that goes into the organisation and you should be really proud of what you have achieved. It was a real pleasure to meet you and your wonderful family. You and Anita should be extremely proud of Ralphie Joe and Noah they are two great kids and a real credit to you. I have known you for barely a week but you made me feel so welcome and I feel like I have known you all my life. I hope we can stay in touch and look forward to seeing you all again one day. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life and thank you for allowing me the chance to live the dream. Bob and I are currently in Minneapolis- St Paul awaiting a connecting flight to London. I'm sure Bob will also reply to you when he gets home but for now he is just shouting things for me to write across the departure lounge! Kind regards Gary and Bob
Feb. 8th, 2009
Congratulations. Bob Shaw is one of my best frieds, I'm sorry I couldn't be ther to help celebrate his birthday. Are you going to do it again next year despite the Pro Bowl being moved to Miami?

KRATOCHVIL FAMILY TRADITION
Coach Kratochvil's Family: highly a part of football life!
When Coach Kratochvil was asked years ago (about 7 years ago) to be the Defensive Coordinator for an All Star team playing in Hawaii he was very honored. Within a few years Coach K had taken over the program, built its depth and became the Head Coach/CEO. He drafted players from all of the world to play in these games each year, and usually played the night prior to the NFL Pro Bowl.
All the games are on the Island of Oahu, HI.
His oldest son now 12 years old has made the trip with him now going on 4 years. He was the teams and his Dad's Water Boy and now Team Manager. Along the way Ralphie Joe had meet a coach in Waikiki Beach, Father John Fredrick owner of the Semi Pro Team Hawaiian warriors and was asked to play on one of the youth Big Boyz teams.
These team consist of larger boys age 12 - 14 and within 150 pounds to 300 pounds. Last year RJ was to small.
This year he will make the trip again as Dad's MainLand ALL STARS Team Manager and the starting QB for Father Johns Youth Big Boyz team.
Ralphie Joe was the starting QB and OLB at his Middle School in Fall Creek this last fall. The team went 8 - 1.
Now add in the youngest Kratochvil football family member, 5 year old Noah. Noah will make his professional debut as the Head Water Boy for his Dad's MainLand ALL STARS.
"Our entire family has made the trip the last 3 years and each family member has a hand in working with this Semi Pro All Star team." We are blessed and honored to know and coach all of these great players.
Good luck Ralphie Joe, Noah, Coach K and wife (stats person) Anita!

THREE WEEKS AWAY OR LESS.........................
The long awaited game between the "MainLand ALL STARS" & the "Hawaiian" Warriors is soon to be.
Many people have tried to get onto this team. The roster at one time was 48 and now will be locked down at 37 players. This is the best of the best. The warriors will give US a game, no doubt. they always have and always will. Like US they get the best of the best from Oahu, as we do from all over the world.
This years Honolulu Bowl boosts some 14 Hall of Fame players/coaches!
WE all come to this great island and game for many reasons. I think the venue is the icing on the cake.
And today as I draft this up date its minus 33 degrees below zero here in Wisconsin, with wind chills in the minus 54 below........
Come on Waikiki.
Please be certain to check all up dates: roster, practice schedule, (look at times as they have been adjusted) player info and depth chart.
Stay in touch and I look forward to meeting each of you and coaching this game.

PLAYERS FEES DUE NOW! DEAD LINE SET!
PLAYER FEE DEAD LINE IS * * NOW * * Oct. 1st
Players who have made payment plans now have until Oct. 1st to get player fees in. The consideration that players are in other games and leagues has helped to extend the date!
