Summer Program Description: Welcome
The Metamora Youth Sports Association is a volunteer run organization providing organized sports activities for local youth. Our summer program consists of recreational and competitive baseball and softball for children that are ages 5 through 14 on July 31. Our foremost goals are to teach and develop fundamental game skills and have participants learn to enjoy the game. The program is open to all children living within the Metamora Grade School district and those that attend St. Mary’s Grade School. Others will be considered by the MYSA board on a case-by-case basis. Games are played on fields belonging to the Metamora Park District, St. Mary’s Parish, and Metamora Grade School. Practices for instructional league teams begin in late April or early May and games begin in late May to June.
