2009 MYBA FALL Play-Off Format
Final four

Play-Offs Start Wednesday, December 2nd and run through Friday, December 18th: Coaches pleas note and plan accordingly!

TIE BREAKERS: 1st Tie Breaker is Head-to-Head games. 2nd Tie Breaker is run differential in Head-to-Head games (No max per game). 3rd Tie Breaker is runs allowed in Head-to-Head games. 4th Tie Breaker flip of coin. Note:  A tie game is ½ win and ½ loss, and will be reflected as such in calculating a teams winning percentage.

SEEDING:  Teams will be seeded based on their record using the above tie breaker system. If teams do not play the same number of games we will use winning percentage in order to seed teams.

RAIN-OUTS: We will not reschedule any rain outs after Friday, November 13th, 2009

8U DIVISION LEAGUE FORMAT: 18 GAMES Majors & 15 GAMES AAA

All Teams (11 Teams) will play one round of games. Top five (5) teams advance to MAJORS and will play each other twice, 8 additional Games. Bottom six (6) advance to the AAA and will play each other once, 5 additional Games. 

MAJORS Play-Off: #4 Seed vs #5 Seed as a Play-In Game to qualify for the FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.

AAA Play-Off:  #1 Seed and #2 Seed advance to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.  #3 Seed vs #6 Seed  and #4 Seed vs #5 Seed with winners advancing to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.

9U MAJORS DIVISION LEAGUE FORMAT: 14 GAMES 

All Teams (5 Teams) will play each other twice (8 Games) and play the 10U AAA teams once (6 Games). 

Play-Offs:  #4 Seed vs #5 Seed in Play-In Game. Winner of Play-In Game and other 3 teamss will play  FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.

10U MAJORS DIVISION LEAGUE FORMAT: 18 GAMES 

Top Two (2) Teams qualify for FINAL 4 Double Elimination Tournament

Qualifier G1: #3 Seed vs #10 Seed  Qualifier G2: #6 Seed vs #8 Seed  Qualifier G3: #4 Seed vs #9 Seed  Qualifier G4: #5 Seed vs #7 Seed

Qualifying Game 5: Winner QF1 vs Winner QF2  Qualifying Game 6: Winner QF3 vs Winner QF4

Winners of Qualifier G5 & Qualifier G6 advance to FINAL 4 Double Elimination Tournament

10U AAA DIVISION  LEAGUE FORMAT: 15 GAMES

All Teams (6 Teams) will play each other twice (10 Games) and play the 9U teams once (5 Games). 

Top Two (2) Teams qualify for FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament

Qualifier Game 1: #3 Seed vs #6 Seed  Qualifier Game 2: #4 Seed vs #5 Seed 

Winners of QF1 and QF2 advance to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament

11U MAJORS DIVISION LEAGUE FORMAT: 16 GAMES

Qualifier G4:Winner QFG1 vs #3 Seed  Qualifier G5:Winner QFG2 vs Winner QFG3

Winners of Qualifier G4 & Qualifier G5 advance to FINAL 4 Double Elimination Tournament

11U/12U AAA DIVISION  MODIFIED on Nov 8, 2009 LEAGUE FORMAT: 18 GAMES AAA and 17 GAMES AA

11U and 12U AAA (13 Teams) are combined.  All Teams (13 Teams) will play one round of games. Top Eight (8) teams advance to AAA and will play each other once, 6 additional Games. Bottom Five (5) advance to the AA and will play each other once, 5 additional Games.

AAA Play-Off: Top Two (2) Teams qualify for FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament

QF1 #6 Seed vs #8 Seed QF2 #5 Seed vs #7 Seed.  SF1 #3 Seed vs Winner QF1  SF2 #4 Seed vs Winner QF2 

Winners of SF1 and SF2 advance to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament

AA Play-Off:  #1 Seed, #2 Seed and #3 Seed advance to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.  

 QF1 #4 Seed vs #5 Seed with winners advancing to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.

13U MAJORS DIVISION LEAGUE FORMAT: 20 GAMES Majors & 18 GAMES AAA

All Teams (16 Teams) will play one round of games. Top Six (6) teams advance to MAJORS and will play each other once, 5 additional Games. Bottom Ten (10) teams advance to the AAA and will play 4 additional Games. 

MAJORS Play-Off: #1 Seed and #2 Seed advance to FINAL 4 Double Elimination Tournament.  #3 Seed vs #6 Seed  and #4 Seed vs #5 Seed with winners advancing to FINAL 4 Double Elimination Tournament.

AAA Play-Off:  #1 Seed and #2 Seed advance to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.  #3 Seed vs #6 Seed  and #4 Seed vs #5 Seed with winners advancing to FINAL 4 Single Elimination Tournament.

13U/14U AAA DIVISION  LEAGUE FORMAT: 20 GAMES 

Top Four (4) Teams advance to Single Elmination Final Four Tournament

JV DIVISION  LEAGUE FORMAT: 20 GAMES 

Top Two (2) Teams advance to Best of Three Championship Series
