U8 Gender Split: We split the Boys & Girls at U8 because by U8 the majority of the boys are much more aggressive than the girls which can be seen in the play. Therefore, during U8 games the vast majority of ball touches are from the boys, which leaves the girls with minimal opportunity to develop their skills. Players (boys & girls) have more fun if they have a greater opportunity to be directly involved in the play.Therefore we have migrated to this to keep more of our girls playing soccer by giving them more opportunities to be involved in the play and getting more ball touches during the game – more ball touches, more confidence & more fun = more confidence & fun resulting in a greater likelihood to stay in soccer.

INDOOR 2012-2013
Online Registration August 15-September 15
Fee: $225 Season: September to March Age: 7 and 8 years old (2005, 2006). Schedule: Saturdays Time: Issued by Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) Location: Subway Soccer Center/CWSC/CNESF Format: 4 vs 4
U8 Micro Soccer: Players are placed on teams randomly, no tryouts. Requests are considered. The game schedule is set by CMSA at www.calgaryminorsoccer.com Practices are once during the week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. U8 teams are mainly divided into Boys teams and Girls teams. Each player will receive a jersey, shorts and socks. Shin guards are not provided but mandatory. All teams will play their last league game as part of the Indoor Minifest. There is no additional cost for this event. Teams will receive medals at this event.
OUTDOOR 2013
Online Registration February 1st-April 15th(FULL)
Fee: $100 Season: May and June Age: 7 and 8 years old (2005, 2006). Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays Time: 6:30-7:30pm Location: MacEwan and Beddington Playfields Format: 4 vs 4
U8 Micro Soccer: Players are placed on teams randomly, no tryouts. Requests are considered. The schedule is set nights. U8 teams are mainly divided into Boys teams and Girls teams. Each player will receive a jersey, shorts and socks. Shin guards are not provided but mandatory. Teams will receive a medal at the wrap-up party.
