You must try out if:

You are 9-14 years old as of April 30th, 2012 AND are NOT returning to a Major or Junior team this year.

For example, if you were 11 last year and played for the Major Yankees, you will return to the Major Yankees as a 12 year old.  If you were 12 last year and played for the Major Pirates, you are now 13 and must attend tryouts in order to be placed on a Junior team.   If you are unsure as to your status, email us with your situation and details and we will help.

You DO NOT need to try out if you are RETURNING to the Major or Junior division team you played on last Spring.

4-8 year-olds and 15-16 year olds will not tryout.  Their teams are assigned in a different process.

If you are 8 years old and wish to tryout for a 9-10 (Minors) team, then you MUST notify us via email or text or a note on your application prior to tryouts.  8 Year olds wishing to tryout will check in and tryout with the 9 year olds.

Helpful Notes on Little League Baseball Rules

Ever wonder why you can't find a copy of LLB rules in print or on the internet?  LLB Incorporated vigorously protects it's intellectual property, including it's Rule Book.  Every time someone posts the LLB Rule Book, they receive a letter from LLB requiring the rules be removed.  The Rule Book is only issued to Managers and Officers.   If you would like a copy or have specific questions, please speak to your division Rep.

That said, there are many helpful resources available to understand LLB rules.

Ever wonder what the differences between Little League and the Official Baseball Rules are?
