Mark Angelone has been appointed as the fourth Athletic Director for MMR CYO program.  Mark has participated in the CYO program as the Grade School Boys Basketball coordinator for the last 2 years, he has served as the boys baseball coordinator and as head coach and assistant coach for both baseball and basketball.  Additionally, he has chaired the Angelo Grasso Christmas Basketball Tournament for 4 years. Mark is active in other MMR Ministries as well as he currently serves as Montgomery Township Park and Recreation Board as Vice Chairman.   

We are grateful to have Mark join the MMR CYO board and work with the youth of our parish.

CYO BOARD UPDATE

Maureen Waddington has indicated that she will leave her position as Social Director for the CYO Board at the end of the year (June 2012). As our first Social Director, Maureen has implemented numerous positive changes including the eNewletter, 5K Run, CYO Night at Phillies and CYO Adult Social events to name a few. We are grateful for all the contributions and her energy she brought to the board.

 Tim Gillespie will leave his CYO Board advisor role at the end of the year. Tim has been an active participant in CYO for many years as board member, coach and coordinator (currently HS Boys Basketball). We will miss Tim's insights to board discussions, all of his help at CYO events. We are grateful for all his contribution to the MMR CYO program.

Applications for Social Director

Applications are now being accepted for the MMR CYO Social Director (SD) position which is part of the MMR CYO Board. This volunteer position is open to all parishioners of MMR, the length of the appointment is 3 years.

The primary responsibilities of the SD are

• Organize committees and volunteers to oversee each CYO social events.

  • MMR CYO 5K Run
  • CYO Night at Phillies
  • Add new events as agreed
• Distribute Communications such as CYO e-Newsletter
• Plan or support all CYO fund raising activities.
• Work with other board members to incorporate Spirituality and Service aspects into the CYO program to fully develop our children.
• Work with the Treasurer to develop a budget for each CYO Social event
• As CYO is a part of MMR's 70+ Ministries, all CYO Board members, including the SD will occasionally be asked to participate in or encourage participation in Ministry-wide events.
