Miami are on their way to Wembley
Wembley is set to host a regular-season NFL game next season. Miami are expected to give up one of their home games to go to London and their opponents are likely to be Buffalo Bills or the New York Giants, with the latter favoured to make the transatlantic trip. The official announcement is likely to be during the build-up to the Super Bowl, in Miami, on 4 February.

Last week the NFL announced that Miami, Buffalo, Kansas City, New Orleans, San Francisco and Seattle were the six candidates for an overseas game this year. Each one of the 32 NFL teams is expected to play at least one game outside the United States during the next 16 years and in 2005 the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers played the first regular-season game outside of the US, when they met in Mexico City. The game drew a record NFL regular-season crowd of 103,467.

Sussex Tournament - A BAD day out!
A big WELL DONE to the 8 Junior Players who turned up for yesterdays Tournament in Sussex.
First 2 games were drawn 24-24 and 20-20 but the last game had to be conceded as Niall went down with a serious injury and our other remaining players were exhausted.
Get well soon Niall we wish you a speedy recovery and hope that ankle mends really quickly.
Helen was also injured yesterday after an unfortunate accident involving players coming over the sidelines at quite a speed and knocking her to the ground, resulting in her knees being knocked badly.

Both people ended up in East Sussex Hospital for a good few hours whilst things were sorted out.

Our thanks to James for staying with Niall during his ordeal. We eventually got away from the hospital at around 8pm and drove home in the most horrific weather!

The next Tournament is due to take place in about 4 weeks time - It has been decided that if ALL the team members do not show then we will not take part. It is unfair to expect just a hard core of players to carry the rest of the team through to the next round each time. We do realise that exams are taking place but surely 1 day out to clear the mind of "revision" is NOT a bad thing. The timing of the season has always been a problem with games taking place near to exams but we have NO control over the situation. Perhaps this should be borne in mind when registering for next season??

Pathfinders Taste Success
Sunday 28th March 2004 saw a very successful outing for the Milton Keynes Pathfinders at the NFL Football Carnival.

The Pathfinders entered two Youth teams (16 - 19) and one Junior Team (14 - 16). In a fine display by all three teams Youth team 1 (2 wins and 2 losses)and finished runners-up, Youth team 2 (1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie) were joint third whilst the Junior team were Junior Champions with 3 wins and 1 tie.

Congratulations to everyone for the hard work they put in on the day but especially to all players both Youth and Junior. They showed great heart, skill and determination and deserve all the praises that no doubt will be heaped on them.
