Congratulations to the Mission Hill/Fenway Buccaneers Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program. The 2006 Season was very successful. We have accomplished many milestones:
- GBL Champions (A, B, C and D Teams);
- Pop Warner Football Conference of Eastern Mass. Champions
(A and C Teams);
- Massachusetts State Champion and New England Regional
Finalist (A Team); and
- A strong season for our E Team (instructional) and all of our
cheerleading squads
On Wednesday, December 6, 2006, the MHB A Team was honored for being the 2006 Massachusetts Division II State Champion by both the Boston City Council and the Massachusetts House of Representatives. City Councilor Mike Ross (Mission Hill) presented certificates to the players and coaches and had a pizza party. The Buccaneers' accomplishment was placed on the official record of the City Council. At the State House, Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez (Mission Hill) presented the Buccaneers to a standing ovation from the House and they received certificiates. The Buccaneers' accomplishment was also placed on the official record of the House of Representatives.
