Welcome to Missouri City Girls Softball Association

We are looking forward to a new season of girl’s softball.

Come register at Sta-Mo Softball fields and bring a friend.

 

 

On-site registration dates are Saturday, January 30, 2016

10:00AM to 1:00PM

STA-MO Softball Complex

 

Registration is $165

   $115 if you decide to sell candy   

Credit cards will be accepted at the field.

 

Our spring season is scheduled from February 27, 2016 through April 30, 2016.  

    

    


   We are Happy to Announce MCGSA New Board Members:   

 

President:  Johnny Lara

Vice President:  Carol Garcia

Secretary:  Elizabeth Zamora

 

Coach Johnny Lara has coached for more than 10 years and is widely respected and active at all levels of softball in the Missouri City, Sugar Land and Houston area.

Coach Lara currently the head coach of the American Freedom 18U Softball travel team (formerly Texas Magic 16U) now heads up seven American Freedom (Houston) teams, including 12u (3), 14u (1), 16u (2) and 18u (1).

Coach Lara's team has established themselves among the top Houston-area 16u squads. They have won the Texas ASA 16u "A" state title four years in a row. They have regularly qualified for ASA, PGF and Triple Crown Nationals.

The team competes at the 16u Independence Day Boulder Tournament (IDT) and other major national showcase events throughout the year.

This last 2015 season, the 16u Texas Magic (Lara) finished 11th at Triple Crown/US National Championships and the 16u Texas Magic (Tovar) finished 17th overall, winning the Gold Bracket.

We are very excited to have Coach Johnny as the new President of the MCGSA .  We look forward to an exciting 2016 softball Season at Missouri City Girls Softball Association.


      

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an umpire, the person to contact is our District UIC, Rene Hart. Her email address is awcomeonblue@comcast.net. It will be important to the registration process to contact her before attending the training class. The training class is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th at the Sugar Land Recreation Center located at 234 Matlage Way.

MCGSA Developing young girls into strong, independent, and athletic women.

Everyone participates!

All girls play infield and outfield in every game.

We are a volunteer organization looking for coaches, team moms and board members.  Let us know if you are interested in joining a great group of volunteers.
