MBYF Welcomes Highland Youth Football As Newest Member Of The NOYFC

MBYF is proud to welcome Highland Youth Football as it joins the Northeast Ohio Youth Football Conference.   Highland Youth Football brings with it a great tradition.  We look forward to an even greater level of competition in 2010. The NOYFC is the largest youth football conference in Northeast Ohio.

Also, the NOYFC announces the creation of separate 9 Year Old and 10 Year Old Divisions for the 2010 season.  These new divisions provide additional opportunities for our players to excel as they develop their football skills.

Registration is now open for Spring NFL Flag Football ages 4-13.  We offer a Division to fit each player's age and ability.  Register online today or come to our in person Registration on January 9, 2009 at the Medina Rec Center, from 10-1.

Christmas Break Camp Out

MBYF is sponsoring an overnight camp out at the Medina Field House on December 29 from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. December 30.  Get your friends and bring your sleeping bag for a great time.  There will be games, prizes, a movie and more.  Dinner and breakfast will be provided.  Download the attached form to save your spot.

MBYF Christmas Break Football Camp

December 28 and 29 MBYF will be offering a Christmas Break Football Camp for players ages 7 and older.  Two sessions will be offered based upon age.  Instruction will include all aspects of the game, there will also be prizes, games and lots of fun.  Instruction will be provided by MBYF coaches and Medina High School Varsity Football players.  Download the attached form for more details.

2010 Registration Now Open
Registration for all 2010 MBYF Seasons is now open. You can register online or in person for Winter Session II Indoor Flag Football, Spring NFL Flag Football, Fall Cheerleading, Tackle Football and NFL Flag Football, at the Medina Rec Center on the following dates:  January 9, 16 and 23; February 6 and 13.  Additional dates will be forthcoming.

MBYF CROWNS TWO NOYFC CHAMPIONS

Medina Bees Youth Football teams claimed two of the three NOYFC Championships on Sunday, November 15 on Tressel Field at George Finnie Stadium on the Campus of Baldwin Wallace College.

In the Junior Varsity Division The Medina Storm Defeated the Brecksville Black Bees by a score of 13-0. 

In Varsity action, the Medina Broncos defeated the Medina Stallions 13-6.

The Bantam Division crown was claimed by the Strongsville Browns over the Medina Dawgz 19-6.  Despite the loss the Dawgz had a great season finishing 8-2.

Congratulations on a great season to all of these teams.

Medina Kick Off Classic Recap

Congratulations to all of the players, cheerleaders and coaches who participated in the 2009 Medina Kick Off Classic.  It was a tremendous weekend of football.  The cheerleading dance routine was outstanding.

Tackle Division Results:

Bantam:  Medina Cobras defeated Medina Dawgz

10 and Under:  Medina Storm defeated Medina Medina Broncos

11 and Under:  Medina Grizzlies defeated  Amherst Black in double OT

12 and Under:  Buckeye Jaguars defeated Warrensville Cowboys

Congratulations to MBYF Alumni
Congratulations to former MBYF players, Taylor Bennett, Brandon Fielding and Jason Suggs on their selection to the NOC All Division Team.  Special Congratulations to Taylor on being selected as the Medina High School Defensive MVP.

Physical Form and Emergency Information Form
Physicals are required for all Players and Cheerleaders before the first practice. Simply click at "Physical Form and Emergency Information Form" and print off both forms. A note from the doctor stating that the player or cheerleader is able to participate in sports is also acceptable.

The Physical Form should be completed and signed at the time the player or cheerleader receives his/her physical. 
Parents should complete the Emergency Information Form.

MBYF congratulates former Bronco, Emerson Buckland on his great performance at the Youth Football All American Bowl, which was held on January 3 at the Alamo Bowl. You can see Emerson in action at www.footballuniversity.org.  Great job Emerson, we are very proud of you.
