“Competitive Baseball and Softball for Serious Players”
The Marlboro Baseball and Softball Travel Club will be holding tryouts for the upcoming 2010 season. Our goal is to establish and develop baseball and softball teams comprised of Marlboro Little League players to compete in travel baseball and softball leagues and tournaments. We’re looking for talented Little Leaguers who are committed to becoming better players.
For those players that are selected we offer a multi-tiered approach to player development. The program consists of a winter training program, a developmental spring travel league (which runs concurrent with the Little League program), a series of summer tournaments and an optional fall season.
Two teams (Gold & Blue) will be formed at every age level where talent and commitment permit. Interested players will tryout for their particular age group. These tryouts will consist of a series of workouts that integrates routine baseball drills with real game situations and scrimmages.
This program requires players to attend practices and games. Parents are expected to actively participate in fundraising events that benefit both the Marlboro Baseball and Softball Travel Club and the Marlboro Little League.
Tryouts will begin in October. The 7-year-old tryouts will take place in the end of spring.
