MARYLAND FOOTBALL FEDERATION: LEAGUE NEWS: THE MARYLAND FOOTBALL FEDERATION

THE MARYLAND FOOTBALL FEDERATION

The MFF is composed by four founders, all of which have football experience ranging from, Souther Mississippi University, Baltimore Colts, Bucknell University, Semi-pro, and prior coaching experience.

The founders, who have had football apart of their lives for decades, decided to start their own team, the Maryland United. After Jim Mitchell the nefew to Tom and son of Gary left the Bandits/Regulators program to return to the Armed forces. Jim was the inspiration for us and we just wanted to carry out our love of football through our own program. Jim and his wife constantly talked about how much fun it was and how many good people they met.

After we got some old friends together, we decided to make this an investment for all four of us, something to do for fun! After realizing how serious each of us were with starting our own team, and providing everything for the players, we came to the conclusion that we should just start our own league. We really didn't see it fair to only provide our program to 50 players when there is so much talent in Maryland and we can easily provide a cheaper way to play for all Maryland teams.

So with everything in the works,  dotting all the I's and crossing all the T's, This will be the best league on the east. We have direct contact with several scouts and with the addition of Elite Combines, this league will promote it's players like no other has done before.

We will be creating a board, that will handle league meetings, rule enforcement, and observing games. While we the founders handle all the financial aspects of running the league. We have observed that too many people involved with leagues try to handle too many things which creates chaos and eventually a league that becomes unorganized. None of the board members will ever have any affilation with any team or league currently in operation while on the staff. This for one eliminates conflict of interest, it also eliminates unfair rule enforcement and favoritism. The breakdown of the league will keep these issues to a minimum.

So we look forward to our first season and the future of semi-pro football in Maryland.
