Sunday, April 6 Annual Meeting and Golf Outing Scheduled The 2008 MAOA Annual Meeting and Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, May 17. You need to make your reservations with Kim Heisler or Mark Bauer by April 20th for the golf outing and May 5th for the Annual Meeting/Steak Fry. We don't have location finalized for the golf outing, but the Annual Meeting will be at the Midland City Forest Chalet at 6:00. We need reservations to be sure to order enough steaks. We also have openings for Board Positions. If you are interested in running for Secretary, Trustee at Large, Sport Director for Baseball, Boys Basketball or Volleyball, please contact Don Page by May 1st. We are also looking for a new Assignor for Basketball, as Pat Carey is stepping down. Contact Kim Heisler or Mark Bauer is you are interested. Make your reservations now for a great time. Sunday, April 6 Rosters and Schedules Posted The baseball and softball schedules and rosters have been posted to the respective pages of the website. Go to the proper sport and check in "Handouts". Also, the Membership Roster for the whole association has also been updated and is located on this page in the "Handouts" to the left. Rosters have all been loaded as Word Documents. The schedules are in Excel. Thursday, January 17 Volleyball Meeting All volleyball officials intending to work winter 2008 Jr High matches will have a meeting on Monday, January 28th at the Midland Civic Arena. Start time is 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4 Roster Posted The roster has been updated and is located in Handouts/Member Information. IN indcates inactive or no dues paid. HO indicates Honorary and does not work games. Sunday, May 13 New Year - New Address Starting immediately the MAOA has a new address, P.O. Box 2774, Midland, Michigan 48641-2774. This has been done to improve communications. The main post office boxes are available 24/7 whereas the downtown post office, which is where the old box is at, is only open weekdays and 9:30 to noon on Saturdays. Monday, December 4 Dues Before Games We have had some problems with members not paying their dues in a timely fashion. The Assignors have been instructed by the Board to not assign games to anyone prior to paying your dues. It is your responsibility to keep your dues paid up on time. Renewals are mailed to all members who paid dues the prior year. If you have not paid or wish to pay, you can print off the form from the website and/or contact Kim Heisler. If you mail in your dues late, you should contact Kim Heisler or Brian Roberts to make sure they have received them. They may not check the P.O. Box on a regular basis so contact them to inform them that your dues have been sent in. That way they can process your application and inform the assignor that your dues are current.
