"50 years from now, it won't matter who hit a home run, struck out or caught a fly ball in a Little League game, but the world WILL be a better place because YOU took the time to make a difference in the life of ONE CHILD ... your own or someone else's."
Little League® does not limit participation in its activities on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual preference or religious preference, and will not turn any child away for lack of or limited funds.

MAALL provides programs for Coed Tee-Ball, Coed-Baseball and Girls' Softball. The Baseball and Girls' Softball divisions are divided into "Coach Pitch Minors," "Player Pitch Minors," and "Majors" as well as the Junior, Senior, and Big League Divisions. (In situations where we may not have enough 'local players' for a local team, players may be "combined' with players from other leagues to create area teams - continuing participation for kids through "League Age 18.") All applicants are assigned to teams and, for players ages 9 and up, we use an evaluation process (sometimes referred to as a 'tryout') to best determine where the child should be placed for their development during the upcoming season. Tee-Ball generally serves kids ages 5-7; Minors generally serves kids ages 7-11; Majors generally serves kids ages 9-12 (though 12 yr olds may request consideration for placement up in Juniors - for Baseball, this means a move from the 60' basepath to a 90'). The Junior, Senior, and Big League age breakdowns vary between Baseball and Girls' Softball. Generally, for Baseball, Junior League play is ages 13 and 14. Senior Baseball can be ages 14-16, and Big League Baseball ages 16-18. The upper divisions of Softball "may" be set up for Seniors ages 13-16, and Big League for ages 14-18!
To participate in MAALL, kids must legally reside within the boundaries of the league and must meet the "league age" requirements (including showing an original or certified copy of a government-issued birth certificate).
FOR CO-ED TEE-BALL & BASEBALL - "Playing Age" determined by child’s actual age as of April 30, 2009
FOR GIRLS’ SOFTBALL - "Playing Age" determined by child’s actual age as of December 31, 2008
FOR CHALLENGER DIVISION® (co-ed, "physically and/or mentally challenged youth") – "adapted" baseball for youth with a myriad of 'challenges,' may play thru age 21 or "graduation" from high school program. ("Playing Age" determined by child’s actual age on April 30, 2009). (Please see www.d7challengers.com for more information on this "Bridge Between Observation and Participation" for area youth.)
Boundaries of the league currently include the Mt. Angel and Gervais School Districts, and nearly all of Silver Falls School District. (The boundaries of schools closer in proximaty to Parrish or Pioneer Little Leagues are now aligned with those leagues. Examples are Pratum, Evergreen, Central Howell. Contact information can be found at www.eteamz.active.com/ordistrict7 )
Little League is: An International Child Development Program that uses Sports as the 'vehicle' to work with children through a 100% Volunteer/Non-Profit local "hometown" operation.
Little League Child Protection Program® – the only youth program that not only mandates background/sex offender registry checks on managers, coaches, and other key volunteers, but also provides leagues with discounted access to the nation-wide "ChoicePoint" database – including a 125 ‘free’ checks per chartered league. Because of recent agreements between Little League International and Choice Point, additional checks (above 125) are charged a nominal fee of only $1 per check.
Across Little League, there is a major focus on Safety with PitchCount Regulations for all levels of Baseball, "A Safety Awareness Program" and the Little League Manager/Coach Education Program
A safe, fun, wholesome combination of instructional, recreational, and competitive ball. Using "evaluations," teams are "as equal" as possible for a fun yet growing opportunity throughout the season. Higher-skilled players (ages 9 & up) have the opportunity to be selected for participation in "post-season" Little League® International Tournament play.
The Post-season tournaments may include Baseball and/or Girls' Softball teams for league ages 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 13-14 - plus additional 'upper division' age groups. Teams for 9-10 and 10-11 yr olds, with a win at the "District" level, have the opportunity to advance to State Tournament. Teams ages 11-12 and up are eligible, based on a continuing winning record, to advance beyond 'state tournaments' to regionals, and Little League World Series ... now televised on ESPN!
