A Call for Board Members

The Meridianville Athletic Association (MAA) is in desperate need of additional Board/Committee of Management (COM) members.

At present, we have only 15 members that are listed on the board. Of these 15, 5 do behind the scenes work such as working on the website, facilities rental contact, signs for the park, etc. We have 10 that participate in park and gym duty and they are spread thin.

We need dedicated individuals who care about the kids of our community to join the Board/COM to help out with the park maintenance, park/gym duty, helping keep the park clean and help be an example and mentor to the kids of our community. We need individuals to serve on committees such as: fundraising, concessions, facilities/grounds maintenance and improvements, programs for the park, marketing, finance, etc.

The more members we have to serve on these committees the more we can do for the kids in the community and the more we can do for our park. If you would like to have a voice in the concerns of the MAA and the park, this is the time to join. Some people say "I do not have the time to serve on the board". They see all the time that the present board members spend at the park but do not realize that if there were more board members, those people would not have to spend as much time at the park. Board/Park duty is divided equally between all that are on the board, so the more we have on the board the more spread out the board/park duty would be and it would be fair to all.

Please contact Mark Hulin at mljbhulin@comcast.net or any other board member for more information. Thank you for your continued support and please help out our park and our kids!!
