2004 Lynbrook Little League Pirates(Majors/Eastern Division) ************************************************* PIRATES 2004 Lynbrook Little League Majors Eastern Division Champions *************************************** This site is dedicated to the 2004 Lynbrook Little league Champions, the Majors Eastern Divison Pirates Players: Sean McCartney Frank Garbitelli Justin Randazzo John Grega Chris Cory Joe Ramacca Steven McNoble James Conroy Dan Trotta Steve Pastore Pete Sapinsky Andrew Siconolfi Geard Frusci Coaches Charlie Mccartney - Manager John Garbitelli - Asst. Manager Lenny Randazzo John Scalzo ************************************************* Coming into the final week of the season the Pirates were sailing along at 14-0. We had clinched both halves of the season and a spot in the championship game. Our final game of the season was aginst the Phillies who were fighting for a spot in the playoffs, a victory that day would mean we would go undefeated and have to face either the Yankees or the Tigers in the Championship. If we lost it would force a 3 way playoff between the Phillies,Yankees and the Tigers to face us in the final. With a few of our big guns missiing that day we had to call on some of our younger rising stars to step up and get the job done. We tried our best but the Phillies came out on top that day and it was on to the post season. After the dust settled the final game was set, The Pirates vs The Tigers. A matchup for the ages, a showdown that people had been dreaming of since we started T-Ball. Sean McCartney vs Patrick O'Brien, 2 of the best pitchers/players to have ever worn the Lynbrook Little League uniform, possibly even 2 of the best to ever play in this district. Unfortunately that dream matchup never happened, due to rainouts and the upcoming tournament season, the Chamionship game never happened. The Pirates and Tigers were declared co-champions, each one being the Champion of their divisions. It was somewhat fitting that both Sean and Patrick as well as all the kids on both teams should walk away being declared Champions. ************************************************* CONGRATUATIONS I would like to take this time to congratulate the following players from the Pirates on being selected for the Lynbrook Little League ALL-STARS. 12 Year Olds Frank Garbitelli Sean McCartney Justin Randazzo 11 Year Olds Steven McNoble Joe Ramacca The following Pirates were presented with the following awards by the Lynbrook Little League.
