About the Louisville Magic Fastpitch Club...
The mission of the Louisville Magic FastpitchClub is to attract, train and position fastpitch softball players from 11 to 18 years of age to successfully compete among the elite players and teams in the country. The Magicorganization creates a platform for girls to develop and demonstrate a mastery of the sport of fastpitch softball on a regional and national stage so they can develop and be positioned to continue playing at the collegiate level.

Louisville Magic Fastpitchparticipation is open to players within a 50 mile radius of Louisville, Kentucky. The bonds and friendships developed within the organization are important. Players and parents need to commit to fostering a relentlessly positive and fun environment that rewards effort and encourages teamwork.

The Louisville MagicPhilosophy

Utilizing a progressive organizational structure, the Louisville Magic Fastpitch Organizationwill allow players to progress as a team each year. Beginning with the entry level 12U age division through the 18U ASA Gold level competitive team.

Magicteams will compete in ASA, NSA and USSSA tournaments that expose them to the best competition available. Parents, coaches and players agree to commit to creating a relentlessly positive and fun learning environment that rewards effort. The goal is to develop within the players a love of competition and success in the sport of Fastpitch and place them on the national stage for recognition and collegiate opportunities.

Magicpractice begins in February for the 12U team with the season running through September. The 12U team will enter into approximately 8 tournaments from March to July for a total of 24 to 50 games leading up to the ASA Nationals in July. Players are highly encouraged to participate on both the Magic team and their local recreation teams from March to June which will add another 15 to 20 games during that time.

The Magic 12Uteam builds on player development. Players will be introduced to more advanced techniques of hitting. slap hitting, situational defense and position development. Players will focus on higher levels of performance and seek out the best competition on a regional basis.

The Magic 14U team will begin to position the players on the National Stage by playing in both regional and selected national invitational tournaments that attract the most collegiate scouts. The 14U players are expected to be impact players on their school teams. Therefore, they will have a different schedule than the developmental teams. Strength and off-season training will run from November to February. March to May will see limited team practices to allow for school team commitments. Tournament play will begin in June and will run through September and will include the July ASA National Tournament.

The Magic 16Uand 18Uteams will focus on the national stage maximizing the players' opportunity to showcase talent. These teams will come on board as the 14U team and the others move up in age division.
