The Sluggers kicked off the tournament with a special visit from Brian Brohm - quarterback of the Green Bay Packers and former star quarterback for the University of Louisville Cardinals.  Brian was excited to hear a team from Louisville, Kentucky made it to the Nationals and would be playing in Green Bay - he did not want to pass up the chance to show his support of the Sluggers.  Brian met with the Sluggers and gave them a motivational speech on teamwork, emphasizing the importance of a hard work ethic and the drive needed to compete.   The Sluggers in turn had the opportunity later in the week to watch the Green Bay Packers kick off their opening season with a practice and opportunity to tour Lambeau Field.

Overall the Sluggers went 7-2 and accomplished their dream of winning the Nationals!  In between games and practices the Sluggers and their families had an opportunity to have alot of fun in the Green Bay area.
