We are pleased and honored to inform you of the dates and times of the Annual Asics Tiger, Cadet & Junior National Championships, July 17 - 25. The event will be held at the Fargo Dome on the campus of North Dakota State University in Fargo , North Dakota . The Nationals have always provided our athletes the opportunity to compete against the best in the country for All American Honors while displaying their talent in front of every college coach in the country. The coaches and staff have designed the following rigorous schedule to prepare you for the National Championships:

Departure to Nationals. Cadet and Junior athletes will depart for Fargo on July 16th . All team members will return home by July 26, 2009.

Team Leaders
An athlete qualifies for the team by placing first or second at the Louisiana Freestyle / Greco Roman State championships. However, if you have not placed first or second, fill out a Letter of Intent to wrestle. Include an explanation as to why you feel you would be a valuable addition to the team. Even wrestlers who did not place at Greco-Freestyle state will be considered. If you were unable to participate, include an explanation as to why you were unable to participate. Each waiver will be considered on a case by case basis. Any wrestler placing at FILA Cadet or Junior?s or any Regional will also be given a spot on the team.
If you will be late to camp as a result of attendance at another camp, let Roberto Furtado or Rick Zimmer know.
Please find the form in the handout section labeled 'Intent to Participate'. This form must be completed and returned no later than May 22, 2009. Your Fee for Nationals will be $1,300.00. The cost includes all costs for training camp, flight, uniforms, food, lodging and tournament entry fees. A deposit of $350.00 is due June 6, 2009 and must include the ?Intent to participate?. A second payment of $350.00 is due on July 1, 2009. The remainder is due at Camp registration on July 11th. If you have qualified and can not accept your spot on the team, let us know out of respect for your fellow team mates so that alternate athletes can be invited.
If you have financial problems, or if your parents have any questions regarding this event, the training camp or the procedure for the nationals, contact Coach Roberto Furtado immediately.

Southeast Regionals
Dear Louisiana Wrestlers and Coaches, The USAW Southeast Kids, Cadet, and Junior Regional Championships will take place on May 22-24 at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA. Coaches Jonathan Orillion (504) 339-1525 and Willie Madison (504) 458-2078 will be heading the team in Duluth. Please contact them in advance to let them know that you will be needing coaching at the tournament. They will both be stayin at the Wyndam Hotel. Walk-up registration IS NOT allowed.
