Louisa Thunder 14U
In 2006, a group of 9/10 year olds traveled to Bristol, Virginia to play softball in the Virginia Little League State Tournament. This was the first group of 9/10's from Louisa to make it to this tournament. The experience was amazing and when the tournament was over these young ladies weren't ready for that level of competitive softball to end. So a group of equally eager parents got together and started Louisa Thunder. The first fall was rough as we were playing 12U ball with a group of 9 and 10 year olds but they stepped up to the challenge and by the summer of the following year they started making some noise and letting their competitors know that they were a team to be reckoned with.
Most of the core group of those players still play with Thunder and thanks to our neighboring counties we have been able to add a couple talented ladies that keep us at the top of our game. 2009 looks to be the best year yet!!!
