Tryouts Scheduled for February 13th!
Tryouts are scheduled for Feb 13th at Diamond Sports Training (DST) in Sterling. The divisions are scheduled as follows, with each player assigned a time slot within the division:
- Majors: 9:00am – 9:45am
- AAA: 9:45am – 10:45am
- AA: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Every player who played Single A or above last spring should have received an email with your player’s specific tryout time slot. Players being placed in T-Ball, Rookie, and Single A this season will not participate in tryouts this year – they will be placed on teams by Player Agents.
If you are expecting your player to tryout for Majors, AAA, or AA and have not received an email with your tryout time, contact the Player Agent at lsll.playeragent@gmail.com. If you have received your tryout time, please confirm attendance to the player agent.
For players who cannot make the tryouts on Feb 13, makeup days have been scheduled on Feb 16th and 18th. You MUST inform the Player Agent if you will be attending a makeup session.
Umpires Needed!
LSLL has a critical shortage of umpires.. Adult and junior (13+) volunteers should contact Umpire-in-Chief John Rosnick at jprosnick@verizon.net to step up to the plate or for more information. Junior umpires are paid for each game they umpire. LSLL provides required training and equipment for all umpires.
Recent changes to Little League regulations require at least one adult umpire to serve as “crew chief” for each game! This has only made our need for umpire volunteers that much more severe! These new regulations affect all divisions from Single-A up through Majors for which we must provide trained umpires! Please get in touch with UIC John Rosnick at jprosnick@verizon.net if you can volunteer for this most-needed position!
Breaking News! LSLL Has T-Ball for 4 Year-Olds!
Just this past week, Little League International announced that it would allow 4 year-old players to play T-Ball! LSLL is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the inclusion of these players in our T-Ball program for the Spring season and we've obtained the necessary paperwork to get started!
There are several important restrictions on 4 year-old players — details, and how to register online can be found under the Register My 4 Year-Old Now! link on the left hand menu.
NOTE: if you're planning on volunteering to be a manager, coach, or umpire, please visit the Volunteer Center to complete a form for a required background check.
Again, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions at lsll.registrar@gmail.com
Registration Closed - Waitlist Now Open
Miss the deadline for registering? You can still get on the waitlist for the Spring 2010 season! Waitlist registration continues until February 10.
To sign up for the waitlist online, click on the Register Now! link on the left hand menu. Your credit card will not be charged unless you clear the wait list. NOTE: there is a $25 non-refundable late registration fee when you come off the wait list.
