The Loudoun Lightning 12U is an elite travel baseball team from Northern Virginia. The Lightning are a member of USSSA and play in the Old Dominion Baseball League (ODBL), under Elite Championship Tournament Baseball (ECTB), and USSSA. Our baseball players come from across Loudoun County.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our starting point is to maximize the development of each player—physically, mentally and emotionally. The successful physical, mental and emotional preparation and implementation we provide will help our young men develop the confidence level needed to confront tough and difficult situations both on and off the field both now and in the future. This will help our young players become even better young men—and that is our ultimate mission.
Physical Preparation:
Immerse each player in the best plan, methods and strategies that have proven successful and that are grounded in the fundamentals of baseball.
Mental & Emotional Preparation:
Teach the proper outlook to playing including personal and team goal setting, understanding the nature of failure and success and how to handle both under any condition and circumstance and how to play with a purpose.
Competition:
The opportunity to put everything into practice by competing against the best players and teams this region has to offer.

Our Mission Statement is pointless if it’s not grounded in the core values that are so important in the achievement of common goals and they are:

- Health & Safety—Winning is important, but each player’s health and safety is paramount and always comes first
GOALS, OBJECTIVES & PLAN OF ACTION:
The two general goals we’ve set forth for our team are:
- To fulfill our Mission Statement of developing each player’s physical, mental and emotional abilities to their fullest extent.
- To build a team that is ranked in the top 10% of all USSSA travel 12u baseball teams in the Mid-Atlantic region.

2010 12U Lightning Schedule
The 12U Loudoun Lightning will participate in the Old Dominion Baseball League Spring season.
