2007 US Lacrosse Women's National Division Tournament
New York State Region

LIMLF Chapter: High school girls division

2008 information to be posted in late Winter/Early Spring 2008

Women's National Tournament
The Women's Division National Tournament began in 1933 as a tournament to showcase the best Post-collegiate and club women's lacrosse players. Since that time, it has grown into one of the largest women's lacrosse events in the nation and features three levels of play including High School, Senior Only, and Club divisions. It is a true celebration of women's lacrosse and continues to represent the heartbeat of the game. Tournament highlights include division championships, a U.S. Team exhibition, the High School All-Star game and a premier recruiting opportunity for high school players.
Established in 1980, the Girls Division features high school aged players representing the US Lacrosse region in which they live and play. Approximately 32 teams are placed into two divisions which are further broken into pools. The Valerie Walchak Trophy is awarded to the winning team in Division I. The winning team in Division II is also honored.
Girls Division & Club Division will feature all-star rosters from regions across the country. A Senior Only Division for high school seniors who are graduating in the spring displays the best senior girl’s lacrosse players in the United States at the premier women’s lacrosse tournament and provides them with a wonderful high school career finale.
Girls Senior Only Division:This division features only high school seniors who are graduating in the spring. Players apply to participate in the tournament and are selected and placed on teams by a committee of the women's division coach's council. Teams compete in two pools with round robin and cross over play. At the conclusion, a champion is crowned.

In 2006 New York brought home the trophy in both divisions for the first time!
