The 2009/2010 London Junior Devilettes are proud members of the London Devilettes' organization which is one of the largest and longest running women's hockey associations. The Juniors play in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). This season the Juniors will be playing in three tournaments: Union College Fall Festival (September 10-13), Stoney Creek University Showcase (September 18-20) and the Junior Women’s Hockey League (JWHL) in Washington (February 13-16).

Dates: Aug 17th, 2009 to Aug 21st, 2009

Times: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Ages: (6-11 years)

Location: Western Fair Sports Centre

1.5 hours of ice daily

The London Jr. Devilettes plan on another fun week of hockey school for 2009. Staff will be exclusively comprised of Devilette Jr. players who will work with the girls both on and off of the ice helping them prepare for the upcoming season. The program will focus on skill development and individual skills during their on-ice sessions and fun interactive team games during the off-ice portion.

Hokey Langan (U18 Team Canada Player) will be on the ice helping with players development along with the rest of her teammates from the 2008-09 team.

Christie was an 18-year-old young woman who passed away on June 24, 2008, as a result of her injuries suffered in a car accident.

Christie had a real zest for life. She was a funny and big-hearted person, who was very compassionate. Christie was open-minded and had strong social values; a leader and a hard-worker, who inspired those around her. Christie had a real passion for hockey; she loved the game, the competition, and most of all her teammates.

In memory of Christie Rose, an avid hockey player, and a proud member of the PWHL, this scholarship is being awarded on an annual basis to recognize a young woman who shares the same qualities and characteristics as Christie.

Those who wish to apply for this scholarship should be: 

• A good student
• A good athlete, and
• A good person, who has a desire to make the world a better place

• A graduating PWHL player
•  Attending a Canadian University or College

 Application form and supporting documents must be submitted by June 30, 2009.
