London Lightning Medal In First Tournament Of the Year!
London Lightning Return Home With A Silver Medal From St.Catharines
After posting an impressive 2-1 record in the round robin portion of the 15th Annual St.Catharines Ladies Fastball Tournament the Lady Lightning met a tough opponent in the Barrie Storm in the Gold Medal game. Unfortunately, despite putting up a good effor the Lightning fell short against the more experienced Barrie Team. Great start to the season girls!

London Lightning Silver Medalists In Chatham
London Lightning Novice Silver Medalists Again!!!!
The Novice Lady Lightning completed a successful weekend in the Chatham Summer Gold tournament going 5-1 and taking home silver medals. After going 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament the ladies posted an exciting 6-5 come from behind win against Aurora before shutting down a formidable opponent in Niagara Falls 8-0 in the semi-finals. In the Gold Medal game the Lady Lightning carried their 5 game winning streak into the finals against a Barrie team that had dominated everyone in the tournament. The Lightning girls struck early posting a 3-2 lead half way through the third inning but the girls from Barrie found a way to come from behind to eventually post an 8-3 win leaving our Ladies as Silver Medalist for the 2nd time this year.
Great tournament and great results ladies, continued success in July.
