Saturday, September 19BANTAM TEAM RETURNS WITH A GOLD FROM THE EASTERN CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Congratulations to the London Lightning Bantam Team in competing in the Eastern Canadian Championships in Bathhurst, New Brunswick. The bantam team had a great week beating Cole Harbor Comets 24-1 in their first game of the tournament. In the second game, the Lightning faced the West Royalty Rockets winning by the score of 9-0. In the third game of the tournament the London Lightning faced the host team, Chaleur, winning the game by the score of 22-6. In the final game of round robin play, the Lightning faced the Stratford Flames with the Lightning prevailing 2-0.
The Lightning going undefeated in round robin play, faced a tough challenge against their Southwestern Ontario rivals the Stratford Flames in the Championship game. The Lightning battled out the win 2-1 to come home wearing gold. Congratulations to Stacie Cox in winning the tournament MVP!
