Welcome to The Jay Artigues Lions Baseball Camp


On behalf of the Lions Baseball Staff, we would like to invite you to be a part of The Jay Artigues Lions Baseball Camps. Our camps are designed to help improve your individual skill as well as help you get ready for the upcoming season. Selected College and High School coaches will be on hand to work our camps which are always over-staffed to help ensure one-on-one instruction. Our camps will also be limited to the first 100 athletes who register. Campers will be divided into teams by ages or ability. All of our camps are held at Alumni Field in Hammond, Louisiana.



Our camp mission is to provide a complete, in-depth baseball experience emphasizing fundamentals in order to allow baseball players to reach their full potential. Our camp is a great place to improve your skills, compete against good players, and receive one on one instruction from college baseball coaches. You can also live the college experience in a beautiful campus environment.



The Jay Artigues Baseball Camps are designed to provide the best possible baseball instruction for players from grades 1-12.

Summer 2009






High School Prospect Camp - May 17th, 2009


  • Noon to 5:00 pm

  • Grades 9-12


  • Cost: $100 thru May 10th | $120 thru May 17th

This camp is designed for the High School Athlete who is interested in playing baseball on the college level. Several college coaches along with some MLB scouts have been invited to attend this pro-style workout. Southeastern's strenght coach will be on hand as well to give his insight on the training program of Lion athletics. This camp will give players a chance to showcase their abilities in front of the entire Lions staff.








Lions Super Skills Camp- June 8th- June 11th, 2009


  • 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Ages6-14

  • Full Day Cost: $180 thru June 1st | $200 thru June 8th

  • Half Day Cost: $125 thru June 1st | $145 thru June 8th

Our youth camps are very well structured for the young player as the camp is run by the Lions coaching staff as well as other high school coaches from the area. The youth camps stresses all fundamentals of the game including baserunning, hitting, defense, and pitching. Youth camps are loads of fun. Campers will be placed in divisions according to their age and ability. Lunch is provided every day and included in the investment as well as a Lions camp T-shirt.






Hitting/Defensive Speciality Camp- June 15th- June 16th, 2009


  • 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Grades K-12

  • Full Day Cost: $165 thru June 8th | $185 thru June 15th

  • Half Day Cost: $125 thru June 8th | $145 thru June 15th

During the morning session each camper will have the opportunity to swing the bat countless times and have a chance to get his swing critiqued and evaluated by someone from the Lions staff. During the afternoon session each position will be taught the proper mechanics, fundamentals, and cover all the situations that come into play at that particular position.






Lions All-Star Camp- July 20th-23rd, 2009


  • 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Grades K-12

  • Full Day Cost: $180 thru July 11th | $200 thru July 20th

  • Half Day Cost: $125 thru July 11th | $145 thru July 20th

The Lions All-Star camp is specially structured for the player who is looking to improve their game on both sides of the ball. Each morning we will concentrate on advancing each players baseball skills though repetition at each players specific position. In the afternoon the younger players will be put through game situations while the older players will be put through simulated games that will be oversaw by the enitre lions coaching staff.Lunch is provided every day and included in the investment as well as a Lions camp T-shirt.
