LilBlueDevils: Care of Equipment
Equipment Notes
- DO NOT BLEACH any pants or jerseys!! This will degrade the material and make the stitching come out. (Oxiclean does a pretty good job, but eventualy, the pants will just not be white any more. Football is a muddy sport!)
- The pants are designed to be washed with the pads in them. Do not attempt to remove the pads.
- Helmets - Be sure you attach the ear pads & chin strap to the helmets. If you have any problems with this, please see a coach. Most kids think their helmet is too small, this is perfectly normal but most likely the helmets fit as they have been designed to fit. The helmets must be snug (but not cutting into the face), to prevent injuries.
- Mouthpieces with the strap are mandatory at practices and games. If a child forgets or loses their mouthpiece, we will have them available at the field; however, they will not be molded to fit and they will not be free. ![]()
- Jock strap / cup are not required but recommended. T-shirts should be worn under the shoulder pads & underwear (or slider/under armor shorts if preferred) should be worn under the pants. 'Football' socks are not required, really, when it's this hot out footies will probably be best.
