Lightspeed Gold Fastpitch is a tax exempt 501(3)(c) non profit youth sports organization based in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast area of southeast Florida. The Lightspeed Gold team is committed to competing at the highest level of play and providing a maximum of collegiate opportunities. The prime mission of the team is to provide the players with the finest instruction, opportunity and direction to pursue their college aspirations.

Friday, November 6
Bri Parker has verballed to Coach Kimmy Bloemers at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach. The Jensen Beach HS senior pitcher has elected to follow the footsteps of former Jensen Beach pitcher Ashley Jones a graduating senior this year at PBA. Parker selected the D2 and reigning National Christian College Champion Sailfish over Queens College in Charlotte, NC.

The Treasure Coast's "Player of the Year" and our shortstop Christen Moon verbally committed to Coach Tom Cole and the Gardner-Webb University Bulldogs. Gardner-Webb is a rising Division 1 program located in Boiling Springs, NC. They compete in the Big South Conference with the likes of Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern. Congratulations to Christen!!!

AFA National Tournament was captured by the Lightspeed Gold 16 & U and 18 & U teams at Halpatioke Park in Stuart, FL. The 16's won a 9-5 contest over the Treasure Coast Sun Devils while the 18's won a 6-1 decision over Plantation Pressure.

The Lightspeed Gold 18 wins the 16th Annual Sailfish Splash over the Pembroke Pines Thunder 5-4 at Halpatioke Park in Stuart. Jensen Beach's Christen Moon drove in 3 runs with an inside the park homerun after South Fork's Kira Wickes drove in two RBI's with a single. Brianna Parker of Jensen Beach pitched the win. In the semifinal Christen Moon hit a triple and knocked home by former South Fork and present Francis Marion University player Lauren Bubeck to win a 1-0 decision over the Miami Stingrays. Centennial's Kristina Conger pitched the shutout. The quarters saw Lightspeed run rule the Eliminators 8-0 behind RBI's from Moon, Wickes, Jensen Beach's Jessica Quesada, Centennial's Katie Konger and Jupiter's Kylee Hanson. Hanson and Bubeck combined for the shutout with Hanson accounting for 5k's in 3 innings.
Pool game competition included a 3-2 decision over the Sebastian Storm. Kylee Hanson has 2 RBI's and 6K's in the win the win. Christen Moon had a double and triple. Lightspeed won a 4-0 contest versus the Jensen Beach Wildcats. Moon, Parker, Vero Beach's Katey Miller and Centennial's Blair East had RBI's for the win. Kristina Conger and Brianna Parker combined for the shutout. The last game was a pitcher's duel with Brianna Parker and the Miami Wildcats Hannah Penna. Lightspeed won the game 1-0 when Penna walked in the only run while giving up only one hit with 8K's. Parker gave up only 2 hits for the shutout.
