Several local players competed in the Sectional Pitch Hit Run Competition in Morgantown.  Justin Frazier, Forrest Sprunger, Brandon Butcher, Tim Blake, Riley Gunter, Dylan Gump, Connor Thomas, and Wilson Harvey.  Several of the players won first in individual events while Wilson Harvey won first in the overall category for the 13-14 age group and Connor Thomas won second place in the overall category in the 11-12 age group.  Congratulations to all who competed.  You represented Lewis County very well! 

Tee Ball has ended its season.  Thanks to all of the volunteers that made the season possible.  It was a great success!  The Tee Ball picnic is coming up soon.  Awards for the players will be given out at the picnic, so make sure you come!

Minor League has made significant changes to its calendar. Due to excessive rain outs, it was determined that modifications were necessary in order to insure all teams and players had equal opportuntities.  Effective today, Sunday, June 1st, the regular season games have concluded.  Practices for each team are scheduled starting today through Wednesday.  The World Series then begins on June 4, 2008.  If you have questions, please call your manager.

Managers must get me scoring information for games before Saturday night so an article can be submitted to the newspaper.  The information can be emailed to me or left at the concession stand.

Major Field Improvements are planned to begin at the conclusion of our 2008 season.  Field 1 is being "rebuilt" with grass infields and outfields.  We are looking for volunteers to assist with some of the projects.   If you want to contribute to  the project financially or physically, please contact Bill Murray or Randy Geer for more information.
