Leominster American Little League: Spring 2013 Divisions

Select Season:
Leominster - Majors Interleague

LALL - Major League

The Majors division is our most competitive division and is typically made up of players who are league age 11 and 12. Occasionally, a league age 9 and 10 year-old players are drafted into Majors. Children playing in the Majors must try out, and once drafted by a team, they remain on that team for the balance of their Little League careers. Only league age 12 players and returning Major league players are guaranteed placement in the Majors division. All other players are subject to placement in the Minors division.

LALL - Minor League

The Minors division is a competitive division with rules similar to the Majors. This is a player pitch division. It is made up mostly of players who are league age 8 to 10. Advanced league age 7 players are eligible to try out for the Minors, although no player under league age 8 will be placed in the Minors without having played in the Instructional League the previous year.

LALL - Instructional

The Instructional division is a coach pitch division, comprised mostly of players who are league age 6, as well as some players who are league age 7. League age 5 players may be considered if they have played one year of Tee Ball. Skill level and grade are taken into consideration for placement in the Instructional division.

LALL - T-Ball

The Tee Ball division is an instructional division for boys and girls, ages 4 to 6 years old, who want to start learning how to play baseball. In Tee Ball, players hit the ball off a batting tee. No live pitching is permitted in this division. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to have fun and to begin instructing children in the fundamentals of baseball.
