The Leisure Hour Junior Golf Program (LHJGP) provides standard operating procedures that help the LHJGP conduct a comprehensive and cohesive program for the development of Junior Golfers. Standard rules and regulations are followed by the LHJGP members in formulating and maintaining the development of their golfing skills.
The Leisure Hour Jr. Golf Program is requesting a donation which will assist with the cost of golf instruction, transportation, uniforms, and equipment as the organization expands to reach more participants and offer more diverse programming. Our current budget for the year is $40,000.
We offer three levels of Jr. golfers; beginner, intermediate and advanced. Our program focuses heavily on education, especially during the monthly classroom meetings. Mentors discuss life skills, health and fitness, and college advising. This year our focus is to inform all participants what is required to earn a scholarship to college in a series called "Plan Your Future." In addition, all participants take part in community service projects. We also provide transportation to The Children's Course.
